If you speak a foreign language, you know one thing for sure: VOCABULARY IS IMPORTANT for reading, listening, speaking, and writing. Did you notice that learners with more vocabulary tend to get higher scores in IELTS and TOEFL? I also noticed that those people who know a lot of vocabulary also have lots of confidence. Confidence is important to practice your language skills outside of your English language classes.
Another thing is that “vocabulary is one of those things where the rich get richer” (Eli Hinkel). But, what is the best way to become “rich” first? I think we have an answer for this question.
You need to keep a VOCABULARY JOURNAL.
In your VOCABULARY JOURNAL, you should include the following information.
To organize your journal and keep new words in an organized way, you might want to use the template table below.
To practice how to fill in the table we have presented, why don’t you learn “11 vocabulary words that you should’ve learned in school” presented by Grammarly.
I hope VOCABULARY JOURNAL will help you become RICH in vocabulary!
